One of the things that come with the holidays is a really big pressure. It comes from expectation. Our own, of our families and friends, our colleagues. Everyone wants everything to be perfect. In this case, how is it supposable to be happy? Here are some ideas.
Listen to your gut. If you’re not comfortable doing something or being somewhere, don’t do it. If you feel like staying home, stay home. You’ll be happier. If you feel like socializing, go out, go to that party, Christmas market, and so on.
Don’t go home if you’re not comfortable. Yeah, a Christmas away from home. Families are challenging and consuming. So, sometimes you can be way happier on your own.
Be your own gift. Yeah, choosing you it’s the perfect gift.
Say no. You have the right to say no. Making your own decision can be so self-loving.
Eat exactly what and how much you want. If you feel like eating something do it. Don’t feel pressured by the holiday menus or the need to hit the gym afterward.
Sing carols if you feel the need to, or rock and roll if you’re tired of Christmas songs. The same goes with movies too.
At the end of the day, I honestly think that taking care of your own needs instead of the others is how you can be happy this Christmas.
If you think of some other methods share them with us, but, until then,
