Hello dreamers and good afternoon!
I know hot girl summer or bikini body or whatever is the trend this year is almost over, but I decided to share a little secret I’ve been testing for a while.
I think it was mid-spring when all of my students were crazy about ginger shots that were all over the place. And while I personally love ginger and I know about it’s benefits, of course, I was skeptical about the store version and the miracle benefits it promised.
Ginger shot is promoted as a weight loss solution that helps with the immune system and digestion. And I tested it!
While the store version I’m pretty sure has added sugar or sweeteners, I went raw and decided to create my own recipe with only ingredients that are considered superfoods. What are superfoods? Superfoods are foods that not only offer the feeling of satiety but also work with our bodies to help them develop and work properly.
Ginger is a superfood known for its anti-inflammatory power, and for it’s antioxidants. Due to these two benefits, some researches were conducted and the results showed that it MIGHT help with nausea, weight, menstrual pain, reducing cancer risk, bloating, and even more.
Lemon is also a superfood known for its vitamin C and immune system-boosting effect. Also, researchers say that it can boost metabolism and again help with cancer, kidney stones, and other diseases.
Peppermint is this tiny invasive plant that I always used for indigestion and cold is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties and nausea healing.
Knowing all this, I started almost 2 months ago to make this unsweetened drink from a juiced lemon, a few peppermint leaves, 10-15g of fresh ginger, and sparkly water. It’s not the tastiest drink, especially since I grated the ginger, but it’s not bad either.
And I would love to say that I drank it every day, but it’s a lie. However, I drink it on most days and the results are next:
- Less back pain. In the days I drink for several days in a row the pain was a 3-4 without exercising, and when I moved more than usual the pain was gone. For someone with chronic back pain, I think it’s a miracle drink.
- Less bloating. Especially when I drink it before coffee. And it gave me a general state of good gut. Besides bloating I don’t really have other bad gut symptoms, so it’s hard to tell other effects.
- Nausea and headache. Again, to me, it worked, but it was something of the moment.
- Menstrual pain: well here I can’t say it was effective on the menstrual days, but the PM pain was insignificant.
- Weight lost. I’ve seen indeed variations, but in the short term nothing to impress me. However, in a month I normally fluctuate 3 to 4 kg, between 58-61, and 62 so it’s pretty hard to see the results now.
- Immune system: again, I would say that right now, I cannot say for sure it works. I didn’t get the flu, but it’s not flu season, the acne is low, but so is my stress level. However, in the winter season, I drank plenty of ginger, lemon, and basil infusion that helped me a lot and I didn’t get it, so, you take your own conclusions!
Overall, to me, the ginger shot is not a medicine, but it is a superfood. And like everything in life, taken with modesty I think it can be helpful for your body and make living easier without chemicals. But I do encourage you to make it your own, maybe if you are not lazy like me, juice together the ginger, lemon juice, and peppermint and let it infuse a while before adding the water and drinking it. I will continue to drink it, as to me the fact that it helps with bloating is enough reason and I kinda like the taste. If you don’t like it, you can add natural honey, which is also a superfood!

More results to come of course! Until then, I hope you have #adreamerlife!
