Colibita Lake and RoserHouse hotel

Good evening dreamers!

As today passed away and I finished all my unplanned chores for the day, I opened my laptop in the hopes of pulling some ideas out of my head and writing the article I’ve been wanting to write for a while now: Colibita Lake and RoserHouse Hotel.

In the middle of the mountains, somewhere in the heart of Transylvania, there is a magical place called the Sea from the mountain (Marea de la minute).

And it’s so quiet and peaceful that you only can relax!

However, being located in Calimani National Park, you have options if your feet need moving! You have hiking options, fishing options, some Adventure Parks, and some really Instagramable peaks and places. If you feel like skying you can also wander a little further, but no more than a couple of hours, and you’ll find Tihuta Retreat, Borsa, and Vatra Dornei.

I discovered this place last year when I decided to go on a little escape with my boyfriend and we chose the RoserHouse Spa which offered us basically anything and everything. What made the difference for us? The infinity pool, heated in February, cause that’s when we went!

This hotel offers a bunch of services, from Spa, pools, cinema, GYM, Massage sessions, conference lounges, restaurant with amazing food!

And most importantly, amazing staff!

As a teacher, I tend to be a little let’s say more observative, and usually, I observe the mistakes! What I loved was that even this year, the staff was mostly the same as it was last year, and even without prestigious schools, the service was impeccable!

And I still teach 17-year-olds to do simple math in order to create a menu with servings…

The rooms are pretty big, with facilities, the only thing I would’ve loved more was a tube instead of a shower, but it’s a personal preference! Otherwise, nothing to change!

Being in February last year, I’ve got the amazing opportunity to stay in the heated pool while snowing!
This year, the snow didn’t make an appearance, however, the weather was perfect, sunny and warm… in February!

And if the weather was that perfect, we’d done more than catch up with the series, eating, staying in the pool, and in the jacuzzi.

We explored the roads all around the lake, of course, the dam and the wings that everyone had taken pictures with!

In the forests nearby, you can find the spring of the Bistrita River, the little sister of the river that crosses Suceava, Neamt, and Bacau counties creating the Bistrita Valley. Smaller sister, yet pretty impressionable! And from the same spot, you can start your hiking in the Calimani.

Another thing to be mentioned is that the villages nearby look pretty authentic, with small cottages filled with flowers, and large orchards on the hills that I bet look amazing during springdays and autumn!

I feel like a little Swiss village but in Romania! The prices also might have a role in this, but it’s a subjective thing!

More I let you discover by yourself as I feel the need to prepare for tomorrow!

Until next time, I wish you #adreamerlife!
