Hello dreamers and happy Thursday! I hope the weather from wherever you read me is warm and pleasant, cause I am freezing in my apartment with my hands on the keyboard.
However, let’s focus our attention on more pleasant things like travel destinations, more exactly, The Uz Valley, in Harghita county, Romania (Valea Uzului, Harghita).
This isn’t one of the big destinations, but it’s one of the places that’s worth a detour. And not being a big destination, means that our talk today is pretty short.
Located in Harghita county, at the border with Bacau county, this small village can capture your attention with its simplicity that confers a special beauty.

The village is between mountains, and being at the border between Transylvania and Moldova, it has some historical essence too. However, the village crossed by the river Uz, charms with the amazing lake that thrones over it.

The Uz Meadow Lake (Lacul Poiana Uzului), it’s an anthropic lake, created to help both the population providing drinking water, and the industry too. It has a special architecture and the fact that it’s placed between Nemira and Ciucului Mountains, gives water a special color. Also, the scenery around it, is magical, with no exaggeration.

It’s not much about this lake, but in my opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful I saw, so it’s worth a road trip, or a detour if you want to combine it with more attractions in the area.

As I said, it’s not much about it, but I hope the pictures do worth more than words and inspire you!
Until next time, I hope you have #adreamerlife,
