Valentines Sweets

Oh, Good evening dreamers, and happy almost Valentine’s Day!

Yeah, the big day is almost here, the whole world filled with love, well if we don’t count Ukraine, Paris, and other places the war feels like home, or at least it starts to feel like home.

Still, geopolitics is not our topic today, food is, more exactly, some sweet tarts you can surprise your loved one. It’s been a year since I discovered the recipe, yet I didn’t make time to try it. Now, the time has come, and I didn’t follow the steps as I should have so, I kinda adapted to my personal needs.

Here you find the original recipe, and down below, my making.

Ingredients

Chocolate hazelnut crust ⁣

  • 450g all-purpose flour ⁣
  • 240g powdered sugar ⁣
  • 45g hazelnut meal ⁣
  • 50g cocoa powder ⁣
  • 360g butter ⁣
  • 9 tbsp hazelnut milk ⁣
  • salt ⁣

Raspberry chia jam

  • 720g fresh forest fruits
  • 3 tbsp of powdered sugar
  • 9 tbsp chia seeds
  • Juice of a lemon ⁣
  • 20g gelatin ⁣

How it’s made

For this part, I followed the instruction pretty much word by word. I formed a dough from all the crust ingredients. I left it in the fridge for about an hour. I rolled the dough and made some cute hear shapes and strips, merged them into the right shape, and baked them for 15-25 min at 180. I got 9 big hearts that I left for cooling. Meanwhile, I started the filling. In a big enough pan, I put the fruits, with sugar and lemon juice and put them to boil. After it started to boil I let it cool a while, and when it was still warm, I added the gelatin (you can use specially made for jam). Incorporated complete and when it’s cool, add the chia seeds.

In the end, all you have to do is fill the heart shapes with the jam you just got and make your bae happy.

I am curious to know your opinions when you get to try it!

Anyhow, I will simply leave you to bake, cause you really need to spend more time with your pair, I know I will.
