Hello there! How are you?

I am finally able to say that I started my summer break so it’s time for me to relax.

Yeah, not so much “relax” but I have more free time for me.

Anyways, I celebrated my “freedom” with a short trip to Scropoasa Lake.
I found out about this lake thanks to Instagram. It’s located in Bucegi Mountains – Romania near 7 Springs waterfall. This is an artificial lake build in 1929 and has a maximum 15 m depth, 5,7 ha surface.

It’s easy to access, we actually drove there, but if you have a low car you can drive until the road gets bad and leave your car and just walk there. It’s an easy hike during summer, maybe a bit difficult during winter (maybe).

Driving there it’s an option, the easiest one, just set your GPS and you’ll get there. While driving you’ll also enjoy the Trans-Bucegi road, not as spectacular as Tranfagarasan yet you’ll be amazed by that view.

If you prefer hiking there, you have the option to take the Orzei Canyon trail and enjoy the view. I haven’t been there but from what I know it’s an easy trail and most important a beautiful trail.

Back to the Scropoasa Lake what I loved the most about it was the color of the lake. It wasn’t green or blue it was pretty much in-between: aqua. Another impressive thing is that after walking 10-15 min you will find old buildings on the lake surface. From what I understood they were built in mining purposes and now they are a landmark when it comes to Scropoasa Lake.

Walking there during summer you will be surrounded by some blue-bell flowers and daisies. You can see them on rocks, in the forest, on the lakeshore. Also if you are lucky enough, you can enjoy wild ducks and squirrels.
Here are some reasons why you should visit Scropoasa Lake:

Beautiful landscape;
Easy access;
Instagramable spots;
Lake with amazing color;
It’s in Romania;
You will also see: Trans-Bucegi Road and 7 Springs Waterfall or Trans-Bucegi Road and Orzei Canyon or all of them;
If you’re there you can see also Bolboci Lake;
It’s less than 3 hours from Bran Castle (Dracula’s castle);
Spend time in nature;
While everyone is traveling to Bali, Ibiza, Paris, etc. you can travel somewhere different, YOU can be different!

Now, about my experience with this lake, after my exam, my boyfriend picked me up, we went to his place so I could change and eat and by 3 P.M both of us and his mother left home. We got there around 5 P.M with 2 breaks. We walked around the lake through the forest, we took pictures, enjoyed the view, fooled around, and headed back. At the car some geese expected us.

On our way back home we also stopped to visit 7 Springs Waterfall. There we had to “hike” a lil’ but we found some yellow-bell flowers among daisies and blue ones. My boyfriend used to give them as a gift to his mom when he was little. We also found mushrooms on our way and picked some of the flowers.

Another stop we took was to enjoy the Golden Hour atone of the Belvedere points on the Transbucegi road. We were back at home at 8:30 P.M just in time to eat and sleep well.

Well, this was my experience with Scropoasa Lake. In fewer words, my opinion is that you should visit it at least once in your lifetime and you won’t regret it.

Hei, cum sunteți?

Pot să spun că sunt și eu în vacanta deci e momentul să mă relaxez.

Mă rog, nu prea mult timp pentru relaxare cât mai mult timp pentru mine.

Oricum, mi-am sărbătorit libertatea cu o plimbare la lacul Scropoasa.

Am aflat despre lacul ăsta mulțumită Instagramului. Se afla în munții Bucegi în apropierea cascadei 7 Izvoare. Acesta este un lac artificial construit în 1929 și are o adâncime maximă de 15 m, o suprafață de 5.7 ha.

Este ușor de ajuns acolo, noi practic am ajuns cu mașina până pe malul lacului, dar dacă mașina este joasă se poate ajunge destul de aproape până drumul se strică. Puteți lasă mașină acolo și să mergeți pe jos până la lac. Este o drumeție ușoară pe timpul verii, poate mai dificilă în timpul iernii (poate).

Condusul până acolo este cea mai ușoară opțiune, puneți GPS-ul și vă duce exact acolo. De asemenea până acolo veți vedea și drumul TransBucegi,nu la fel de spectaculos precum Transfagarasan dar totuși priveliștea vă va încânta.

Dacă preferați să faceți o drumeție până acolo este opțiunea traseului Cheile Orzei cu o priveliște deosebită de asemenea. Personal eu nu am fost acolo, dar din ce am înțeles este un traseu ușor și cel mai important unul deosebit.

Intorcandu-ne la lacul Scropoasa, ceea ce m-a impresionat cel mai mult a fost culoarea apei. Nu era nici verde, nici albastră, era pe la mijloc: aqua. Alt lucru impresionant este faptul că după ce mergi 10-15 min în jurul lacului se găsesc construcții vechi la suprafața apei. Din ce am înțeles au fost construite în scop minier iar acum sunt un simbol al lacului.

Dacă mergeți acolo pe timpul verii veți fi înconjurați de clopoței albaștri și margarete. Le puteți vedea pe stănci, pe malul laculuiori în pădure. De asemenea, dacă sunteți norocoși puteți vedea rațe sălbatice și veverițe.

Câteva dintre motivele pentru care trebuie să vizitați lacul:

Peisaje minunate;
Acces ușor;
Locuri perfecte pentru instagram;
Lac cu o culoare deosebită;
E în România;
Vei vedea de asemenea: Trans-Bucegiul și cascada 7 Izvoare sau Trans-Bucegisi Cheile Orzei sau pe toate;
Dacă ești acolo poți vedea și lacul Bolboci;
E la mai puțin de 3 ore de Castelul Bran;
Petreci timp în natură;
În timp ce toată lumea călătorește în Bali, Ibiza, Paris etc. tu poți călători într-un loc diferit, TU poți fi diferit.

Acum, legat de experiența mea cu acest lac, după examen m-a luat prietenul meu, am mers acasă să mă schimb și să mănânc, iar pe la 3 după masă am plecat cu el și cu mama lui din Bran. Am ajuns acolo în jur de 5, după două opriri. Ne-am plimbat prin zonă, prin pădure, pe marginea lacului, am făcut poze, ne-am prostit cum s-ar zice, am admirat peisajul și ne-am întors la mașină unde ne așteptau niște gâște.

În drum spre casă ne-am oprit și la cascada 7 Izvoare. Acolo am “urcat” puțin dar am găsit de asemenea niște clopoței galbeni pe lângă restul florilor. Prietenul meu obișnuia să îi ofere cadou mamei lui când era copil. De asemea am găsit și niște hribi și am cules flori.

Altă oprire pe care am făcut-o a fost într-o parcare belvedere pe TransBucegi să ne bucurăm de lumina apusului. Pe la 8 jumătate eram deja acasă numai bine să mâncam și de asemenea pentru un somn bine-meritat.

Ei bine, asta a fost experiența mea cu lacul Scropoasa. În câteva cuvinte părerea mea este că trebuie să-l vizitati măcar o dată-n viață si nu veți regreta.
