Hero: Samantha Young

Well, hello there, and happy Wednesday!

As this year I didn’t really have a goal of reading 12 books, but I had a goal related to personal growth; it was essential for some book reviews to make an appearance, and this month is Hero by Samantha Young, because you know I love to start my year on a steamy note!

A contemporary romance novel that explores themes of love, redemption, and personal growth. The story revolves around Alexa Holland, a young woman struggling to find her place in the world after her father’s betrayal shattered her family. She works as a personal assistant, trying to rebuild her life and reputation, when she crosses paths with Caine Carraway, a powerful and wealthy businessman with his own troubled past.

1000 pages in less than 24 hours, because seriously, it’s hard to let it go after your start. The steamyness however is entry-level, so it can be read also, but those at the beginning.

I truly loved the plot; it was pretty different from the On Dublin Street series, as it was a bit more different. But of course, it’s an easy and less expensive way than therapy if you look at understanding daddy and mommy issues.

Without giving spoilers, I cannot share more than this with you! Whoever knows and loves the author, won’t be disappointed, however, it seemed a little mix of 365 and 50 shades of Grey at some level.

Overall, this is a book I would rate a 9. We’ll see what Villain will be about!

Until next time, I hope you have #adreamerlife!
