The 2025 bookclub

Hello dreamers and happy Monday!

In light of the new week, for those who still prioritize your goals, and reading is one of them, here it comes with the 12 book recommendations for this year (and my booklist, of course)!

This year I’ve included some steamy options, as well as some more classical ones!

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas
A gripping tale of betrayal, vengeance, and redemption, this classic follows Edmond Dantès, who is wrongfully imprisoned, escapes, and seeks revenge against those who betrayed him.

Animal Farm by George Orwell
A powerful allegory on political corruption, this novella depicts a group of farm animals who overthrow their human owner, only to face a new form of tyranny under their own leadership.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Set in the racially segregated South, this novel explores themes of justice, racism, and morality through the eyes of Scout Finch, as her father, Atticus Finch, defends a black man accused of raping a white woman.

Before We Were Strangers by Renée Carlino
A heartwarming romance about two former college sweethearts who reconnect years later, rekindling old feelings and exploring the possibilities of love and second chances.

The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
Focusing on the lives of working-class teenagers, this novel follows the struggles of Ponyboy Curtis and his gang of Greasers as they face social division, violence, and their own personal challenges.

The Christmas Train by David Baldacci
A holiday-themed journey that blends romance, mystery, and the spirit of Christmas, as an American journalist boards a cross-country train and meets a series of colorful characters while reflecting on his past.

Hero by Samantha Young
A contemporary romance novel that explores themes of love, redemption, and personal growth. The story revolves around Alexa Holland, a young woman struggling to find her place in the world after her father’s betrayal shattered her family. She works as a personal assistant, trying to rebuild her life and reputation, when she crosses paths with Caine Carraway, a powerful and wealthy businessman with his own troubled past.

Villain by Samantha Young
Villain by Samantha Young is a contemporary romance novella, often regarded as a companion story to Hero. It explores the darker, edgier side of romance with morally gray characters. The novella follows Nadia Ray, a journalist, and Henry Lexington, a wealthy, powerful man known for his cold, ruthless demeanor.

This Man Series (This Man, Beneath This Man, This Man Confessed, With This Man) by Jodi Ellen Malpas
This steamy romance series revolves around the intense and tumultuous relationship between Jesse Ward, a mysterious and controlling man, and Ava O’Shea, a woman drawn to his dominance and passion. The series explores love, betrayal, and emotional conflicts.

I hope these books find you relaxed and ready to.. read!

Until next time, I hope you have #adreamerlife!
