Would your 8-year-old version of you be impressed by where you are now?

Hello there and happy Monday!

Last week, I saw an amazing reel that said there are two people you need to make sure are happy with you: your 8-year-old and 80-year-old versions of yourself!

Why? Well, I think it’s because at 8 years old, you are full of dreams and hopes, and at 80, you start having regrets about your life! This is why it’s so important to be prepared for the judgment of these two.

Besides who you are now, they are the most important people in your life! No, I’m not saying family or significant others aren’t important; I’m saying that we come into this world naked and alone, and we leave it the same. People die, and I know this better than anyone, and your darkest secrets, deepest dreams, and wildest desires are known only by you.

So, right now, if it is to sit down and drink a coffee with these 2, are you laughing, are you crying, are you uncomfortable?

I know for sure that some of my dreams are wild and free, and to be honest, a little crazy. Unless fairies are real, my 8-year-old me is going to be a little sad. However, I think she would be happy to know that I found the boy she fell in love with, and we had our love story, with good and bad, but we made sure we had him!

I think she would be happy to know that we have Ash! And that we don’t take shit from others! We’re not a superhero that saves the world, but we are taking care of our family!

We don’t live in a fancy house, yet it’s home, and to be honest, both she and I would gladly give up on the flat-screen TVs, the new flooring, the white fireplace, and the cohesive color rooms for another day with grandparents!

We didn’t manage to have the most aesthetic Christmases, but we made them magical for the nephews. We do not have our own cooking TV show, but we have a blog and Instagram, and maybe one day we’ll get there!

As for the granny in me, I think she would have loved to listen to my grandparents when they told us to be careful with the weight we carry because it will hurt our back! I think she would love to take more care of us. But besides that, I think she is happy that we had fun in high school, that we know what friendship is, that we know what love is, and how it feels!

I think the granny in me is pretty content with where I am now…

What about you? How are your grandmother and your 8-year-old version of yourself?

Until next time, I let you answer this question and, of course, have #adreamerlife!
