Back-to-school resolutions

Good morning dreamers, and happy new school year!

As for today yours truly goes back to school, back to work, and back to teaching, well the last one I still have one week!

However, Summer is over, Autumn is here and my free days are over, and before I get to school I decided to share with you my resolutions for the year. Why resolutions and not goals? Well, I wrote this article before the first meeting and I do not put my hopes up, however, I do love good dreams!

Back-to-school resolutions

  • To have a better work-life balance. As I have a new class, I do hope they will understand what “do not call before 8 A.M. and after 8 P.M. means”. Also, I hope I will say NO more often as this is I want to finish my Ph.D and I also have another experience exam in August 2025, so a lot of work to do.
  • To have more practical tasks for the kids. Last year I taught about tourism and the accommodation forms, and I loved all the mini hotels, motels, and accommodations they created! I would love to do more of that!
  • I want to create more materials, even electronic ones like the educational YouTube channel I was telling you yesterday!
  • I want to maximize the time I spend at school. As teachers, we get free periods, and maybe I can create content, so I have more free time at home, Idk.
  • I want and need to review their papers faster, otherwise, I will never do it!
  • I want to make them work more. Not because they are lazy, but because teenagers don’t listen to teachers to much anyhow. So, if I make them work, for little fun projects, maybe this way they will discover new things, and they will learn to learn.
  • I want to learn for the experience exam during the school year! (Yeah, yeah sure, keep on dreaming)
  • I want to give the students the opportunity to discover themselves better.

Not a big list, not a small one, and I think it’s pretty achievable, but we will see!

I hope this new school year, brings quieter moments for everyone, and less traffic!

Until next time, I wish you #adreamerlife!
