All about summer 2024

Hello dreamers and happy Friday!

While I’m not throwing away summer, or taking anyone’s pleasure to enjoy these last warm weeks as global warming is not a myth, I think it’s time to part ways and do a short recap!

As for most of the summer, I was at school, I didn’t think too much of fun and parties, but more like granny style summer!

To make it even better, I decided to check off the Summer Bucket list I made at the beginning of the season:

  • Have at least 3 photoshoots! I already started, but I want to do a photo shoot like the old times, just me and my camera alone in order to feel comfier! Photoshoots I did, solo, alone I wasn’t, but you still can check them on insta!
  • Enjoy the Perseid shower! Maybe more than the previous years… I did, better than the previous years, however only 2 catched!
  • Visit 3 new places. One is for sure, the other two, well, we will see… Well, this one is the one I can proudly cross off the list! Praid, Sovata, Ciucas Peak Jesus Hearth Statue, and Toaca Peak
  • Get fit! I don’t even know why I have this on my list, cause it was here before my blog existed, and I am still a little chunky. Nope, and it’s not like I didn’t know it from the start. However I’m on my day 2 of cardio so maybe…
  • Have a 30-day Yoga challenge. So, I started Yoga before Easter, and it’s harder than it looks! So, it’s a challenge for me! Maybe now that I’m coming back to Brasov, but not a single day!
  • Dance at least 3 times/ week until September 1! If I want to get fit… maybe like the old times… Why did I put so many workout goals here?
  • Camp for one night (and try to not get eaten by a bear!) I didn’t camp, but I went camping. I installed the tent, and my baby nieces slept very well in it though..
  • Start creating flower arrangements from cut flowers! I plan on spending my summer at home (dream of a baby girl with 3 weddings in Brasov after 15 July, days off after 15 July and Vcay after 15 August, and back to work on September 1st), and if I am at home, I have plenty flowers to practice on! Long story short, I wasn’t home, the only florals I’ve done were for the 1st anniversary of one of my nieces.
  • Revive that YouTube channel and maybe start a podcast (cause you loved TikTok so much). I didn’t revive it YET. However, I do have a new idea for an educational channel where I to upload materials I use in class.
  • Upload 30 new Amazon books! Not 30, but I did and you can find them here.
  • Get out of the garage of the old car and buy her new pieces! I don’t even think I’ve seen it this summer.
  • See the seaside! Well, here’s the deal, I didn’t even want it anymore, but it’s on the fall list.
  • Read 6 books! No, not educational ones, of course, smut cause they are your free days! One. Just one and a few pages.
  • Create decorations for the Christmas store! Only gathered some supplies
  • Make Icecream! Well, no, but it’s on today’s list!
  • Eat watermelon and dry cherries! Like always, but still, not enough! (but who gets overeating them?)
  • Start sketching a house plan in order to be more exact with planting and taking care of the orchard! I didn’t as the heat wave was barbaric and destroyed everything so it’s pointless to plant anything. 2 trees I planted in spring died of heat.

Interesting summer right? It looks like I had plenty of fun achieving my goals?! Well, it was my bucket list, and it’s ok not to fully cross it off! However there are more things that I’ve done, so let’s start!

  • I’ve submitted my article, and it’s been accepted!
  • I went to 2 weddings.
  • I have visited some new places.
  • I’ve been working my ass until 15 July.
  • I uploaded new materials on Amazon!
  • I kept up with the blogging.
  • I spent a week at home where I managed to finally make a composter and clean a little around the house and the backyards.
  • I’ve finished the On Dublin Street series and started Becoming by Michele Obama
  • I’ve made a habit of drinking homemade gingershot!
  • I made a little progress in my PhD
  • I kept posting on social media
  • I hiked twice.
  • Went on some motorcycle rides, even at night
  • Done some research on some new topics I want to explore more.

Why am I sharing this as it can be interpreted as failure? Well, because we are humans, and because it’s important to make sure that we differentiate between goals and dreams, and while it’s important to have dreams and wishes, it’s also important not to make a big deal about crossing them off.

Sometimes we achieve our bucket lists, and sometimes we don’t, but we must make sure we acknowledge everything that we’ve done and be grateful!

Until next time, I wish you #adreamerlife!
