Good afternoon dreamers and happy Tuesday!
With Winter finally rolling in, the cold days make us question fashion over comfort. However, from the comfort of our houses, we can still take a look at what’s new this year. And let me tell you, this is the year fashion starts to come back to normal. (Sry not so sry Y2k lovers, quarantine outfits lovers, and Gen Z’s)
Let’s start by acknowledging the color of the year: Peach fuzz.
“In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless.” Leatrice Eiseman: Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute™.
Isn’t it nice to have a calm, peaceful color to take the stage? I think it is, and it’s also pretty feminine!
But this isn’t the only thing feminine coming around. The other day while searching and searching what the people in the industry predicted for this winter, let’s just simply say my Blair Waldorf personality awakened.
Preppy is coming back! I think I wasn’t that interested in fashion in years, since the loose jeans were in, cropped tops, dresses, and other things in the same trends. Anyhow, now that we have this trend, you might actually see me posting more about fashion.
I think the preppy style is back thanks to another trend I love, that is also here to stay: Old money. Probably brought back by the minimalist culture, this aesthetics has nothing to do with minimalism, but with good taste.
And the third sister in the pack is feminity! Last year’s women who decided bows are cool again, are still wearing them, but also adding roses, and probably flowers to be honest!
Apparently, Office Style is here to stay, no matter how long we love to work from home in our underwear. And with it some more tailored looks, make a comeback too, taking the eyes away from loose.
There are some other trends to be around, however, I will not embrace them, but for whoever is interested here’s the list:
- kitten heel shoes;
- column dresses;
- leather dresses;
- denim skirts;
- cropped bomber jackets;
- 80’s style.
However, at the end of the day, you know my mantra when it comes to fashion: wear what you like, when you like it, what fits you, what’s comfortable, and what’s appropriate all at the same time!
This is all for today! I hope you have a great day and #adreamerlife!
