Back to school pieces of advice in 2023

Hello dreamers, and happy weekend!

How often do we find ourselves flipping through the pages of old yearbooks or diaries, letting nostalgia wash over us? The scribbled notes, the candid snapshots, the first day of school excitement – every memory holds a story. As September peeks around the corner, it’s time for new stories and adventures!

As I am going home for the weekend, nostalgia came to me and made me think about how much I would love to be a student again, to have some more free time. Anyhow, time passed, times changed and all I have now are memories and experiences.

Yeah, experiences. I wouldn’t turn back time to change my past, but for sure I will share some academic advice with you, to be prepared for the new school year!

Staying Organized: As the piles of textbooks and notebooks start to grow, having a transparent organization system becomes paramount. Consider investing in storage solutions, be it shelves, bins, or digital apps. It’s not just about being tidy; it’s about creating an environment where focus thrives.

Don’t go overboard with AI: As AI is rising and invading our daily lives and it can be tempting to let it ease our journey, don’t let it overtake the joy of learning. I know sometimes it can be overwhelming, and a bit of help from our computers is what many generations before dreamed of. However, don’t overuse it.

Embracing the Arts: Whether you’re a student or a teacher, there’s always room for creativity. This year, let’s make it a point to doodle a bit more, dance a little freer, and sing a tad louder. The arts have a magical way of enriching our academic experiences and providing a much-needed respite.

Eating Right: I can’t stress enough the importance of a balanced diet. Those brain cells need nourishing! Whether it’s a fresh fruit smoothie or a hearty salad, ensure you’re fueling your body adequately for those long study sessions.

The Beauty of Questions: This year, make it a point to ask more. Questions open the door to understanding and growth. Whether it’s a complex mathematical theorem or a historical event, never hesitate to raise your hand and seek clarity.

Community Involvement: Schools are not just centers of learning; they’re vibrant communities. Participate in school events, join clubs or teams, or even initiate community projects. These experiences don’t just look good on college applications; they shape character.

For the Teachers Among Us: As you step into your classrooms, remember your influence. Beyond syllabuses and grading, you have the power to inspire, motivate, and leave an indelible mark on young minds. Teach with love, guide with patience, and always remain a student at heart, curious and eager.

Embarking on this new academic journey, let’s promise ourselves to be a little kinder, work a bit harder, and dream a lot bigger. 2023 beckons with opportunities, challenges, and countless stories waiting to unfold. Grab your pens, and dreamers, and let’s script a beautiful chapter together!

And with that, I raise my metaphorical glass to new beginnings, resilience, and of course, to each of us living and loving #adreamerlife.
