Good evening, dreamers! I hope you have a great time and a comfy spot, cause today I made something special just for your entertainment.
Like me, I know that are many of you out there, having amazing photoshoots ideas but no one to help.
Been there, done that, and bought a tripod. Liying, I got one for Christmas 2-3 years ago.
The thing is that for a long time, had anxiety about being seen while I take my photos, even by my family. But, goals are goals and sometimes we need to get out of our comfort zone to achieve them.
During the pandemic, I extended that comfort zone as much as I could. I was stuck at home, with not so insta worthy places around me, yet I managed to create the most amazing content. To be honest, now I don’t get it that perfect.

Moving back to more present days, we’re not in quarantine, but my content has to tell a certain story with every post so, I have to take even more steps out of my comfort zone.
That being said, I have to maximize the space, decor, tools, and that means that sometimes I burn nice sweaters by mistake, trying to create the perfect flat lay.
Or, I lay down on my bed, with the tripod on top of me, to catch that photo.
Cleaning up the desk only for photos is also a reality I live, same with drinking one more cup of tea or coffee, just because I needed a prop for a shoot, and it would be a shame to waste it afterward.
Another reality that hits when shooting at home is that to get it how you envisioned it, you might fall off the chair. This one happened to me too many times.
But enough words about general. I uncovered a bit of what’s behind a photoshoot at home, now let’s see some results from yesterday.
Yesterday, I started to batch create content for January and February. After flat lays, I started creating portrait ideas, and you’ll only see one type.
On my feed, I want to give that comfy, cozy, fulfilled yet wealthy vibe. That dreamer vibe combines it all.
So, the white bed covers go well with the snowy feed. Also, the heart design goes well with the upcoming theme for February.
Another decisional factor was the fact that I pretty much love on top of the bed picture ideas.
Final check on the list: What message do people get from it? What do I want to share?
Well, I want to empower women, I want to make reading/learning “fashionable”, I want to create a connection, I want people to identify with it, to feel like they are on that bed reading and feeling themselves.
After deciding, the technical part started. As my camera’s batteries were dead, and I had only a few more minutes of light, I took them with my phone. Portrait mode, zoom desired, tripod set, settings for smile capture set, and let’s pose!
I hope this article gives you the courage to do it by yourself. Having help does work, but knowing that you can do it by yourself empowers you.
