Christmas at work

Hei guys!
Today I want to share with you, something most of you can relate to: experiencing winter holidays at work.

As responsible grown-ups, we have to work, and just because Christmas is coming, doesn’t mean we have a break.
You might think that working as a teacher, means I have winter break and time for all the Christmas things. Well, not this year. Tomorrow is the last day of school, and everything I’ve done so far was between tasks.
Yet, I won’t lie, it’s nice to be on the other side of the educational system during holidays. Most of the time, teachers try to keep the magic alive inside the school so, making it real for our students, we’re living it too.
So, what’s inside the teacher’s room? Well here are the secrets!
Teacher sing carols. The high school I teach in, organized a choir to sing carols. I don’t have a voice, but some of my colleagues have, and their singing was amazing.
We share gifts. No, we don’t only organize Secret Santa for students, we play it too. We set a budget and secretly give a change to the universe by choosing a random person’s name out of a Christmas hat.
I for example got a Casimir scar today and gave a set of glasses with some booze and a handmade Christmas ornament.

The receiver, even if he doesn’t know who is his Santa, looked excited, the same as me when I was the pink material.
We spend more time together. After school hours, we have a get-around to relax and communicate and simply, get ourselves into the holiday mood.
We give unknown free passes. The truth is that we are stressed too around this time of the year, so we give free passes without kids knowing it.

So, here you have them, the secrets inside the teacher’s room.
What secrets are in your offices, or at your jobs, during the holiday season?
Let me know in the comments and also, don’t forget to have #adreamerlife!
