First day of June is here so, today we celebrate first day of summer in calendar, children’s day in some countries, beginning of a new month, a new week.
And if there is one thing I know, almost everyone loves summer!
Summer makes us wild, makes us daydream, makes us us travel back in our childhood. Summer brings us back memories of the good old times. It kinda makes us more alive. (I already told that I am talking about almost everyone)
Every year I make different “bucket lists”, for fall, summer, winter, holiday, spring, new college year and so on. These lists are like New Years Eve resolutions, the difference is that I’m more likely to accomplish those. Why?
Simply! I don’t put so much pressure on these activities, I try to make them fun! I’m not feeling guilty if they remain only on paper and if I achieve them besides the fact that I enjoy these activities, I had fun, I feel better!
This year, things are a little different because of COVID-19. We have to be preventive, to respect some rules, to change our usual activities or to adapt them.
This summer we have to adapt ourselves, to change our habbits a little, to learn new things.
If normally on my list would be things like visit a new city, or have friends trips or friends parties, or going out, things that mix well with the feelings I was talking about above, this year I made a list more social-distancing friendly, with more at home activities.
Without other words here are my summer “plans”:
- Go camping – I love this thing, I always loved it;
- Hike – Spending time in nature is a good idea this days;
- Have photoshoots – Well, I want for a while now to take pictures in lavender, wheat. I have in sunflower but still, there is no harm. I can practice, I develop my photo skills, my friends get photos to, it’s a win-win for everyone;
- Take pictures – We have to improve ourselves everyday;
- Try new reciepes -Well, summer makes me creative;
- Make homemade chocolate – I looove chocolate;
- Get fit – I know, this and the one above don’t mix very well, right?
- Dry up aromatic plants -I love herbs during winter so it’s a good opportunity to preserve them;
- Pick wildlowers – Wildflowers are so cute and magical;
- Craft – I usually craft in winter but I have some things on my mind now for summer;
- Enjoy summer fruits (berries, watermelon,apricots peaches) straight from my own garden – Well, no matter how delicious might look, none will taste like those I pick up with my own hands;
- Read – I have some books I want to finish, On Dublin Street series really got me;
- Stargaze – In August you can see so many falling stars;
- Enjoy sunsets – They are simply amazing from my house;
- Wake up early for sunrise – This activity is rather therapeutic cause it can give you houpe that with every new day you can have a bright new chance;
- Make a box to donate – Summer cleaning is a thing I do. Many old things I don’t use, wear or find attractive are wasting space so, I try to do good things and donate them. Being good all year, not only for holidays should be a mantra for everyone;
- Visual boards – I like to visualise things. This is how I work best so, I try to make visual board for different things on We heart it;
- Meditate – This thing is so useful for our mental health and for our achieving path;
- Recycle – Well, waste production is a real deal so, I try as much as I can to reduce my family contribution to it;
- Work on my blog – I wasn’t quite present on my blog since I started ’till this month. I mean since 1st May till now I posted almost as much as I posted last year (shame on me). I want to keep posting, to keep being active, to keep bringing new things, useful things.
These are my summer plans, I keep them simple, I keep them achievable, I keep them fun, I keep them adapted to this situation we all are in!
As I said in the beginning, today some countries celebrate International children’s day. In my printable section you can find a free printable Children bucket list you can try today.
As well, you can find a free Summer bucket list that you can print and enjoy. It has more activities than this one you’ll have plenty ideas to try!
Do you have other ideas for this summer? Let me know!
P.S Here are some pics from my previous Summer bucket lists
