Summer is around the corner, same goes for our summer trips.

We practiced social-distancing for a long time, some of us (me at least) are still practicing it, but travel plans are somewhere in a corner of our mind wanting to go out.

Traveling to a new country can be a tricky and risky move with all the pandemic,but if you decide to travel, (even if you are a romanian like me) here are some reasons why YOU SHOULD VISIT ROMANIA!

• No matter if you want to travel to historical places, or you travel only to mountains, or only love seaside, or you want scenic drive, or beautiful landscapes, or cute litlle villages, or big cities, fairy towns, we have them all!
  • Historical places? Try our castles: Bran (Dracula’s) Castle, Corvinilor, Banffy, Sturdza, Bethlen Haller, Cantacuzino, Peles Pelisor.
  • Mountains? Bucegi National Parc, Piatra Craiului National Parc, Rodnei Mountains National Parc and so much more.
  • Seaside? Come and visit our Black sea. (No, it’s not Black)
  • Beautiful landscapes? Visit Bucovina, it’s like Heaven on Earth!
  • Scenic drives? Top Gear told EVERYONE that our TransFagarasan is the best road for driving. We also have TransAlpina, TransRarau, TransBuceci. We might lack abundance when it comes to infrastructure but what we have, you won’t find it anywhere else.
  • Cute little villages? Visit Bucovina, Maramures oar Transilvania. They are so cute, traditional, colourful and dreamy.
  • Big cities? Try Bucharest, Iasi, Brasov, Cluj, Timisoara, Arad, Oradea
  • Small towns? Well, Rasnov is a good go for it, it has it’s own citadel, but you can also try to visit my town Panciu. If you are into wine and wine technology, vineyards and if you want to feel like in every american TV series that presents the life of a small town during autumn, (The good wich, Pretty Little Liars etc.) Panciu is your winning bet. You can find other small towns too.

• We have our unique humor. We can laugh at our-selfes so, you can’t stay mad when you travel to Romania.
• We have the best food you’ll ever try. Starting with Sarmale (I won’t tell you what is it, search it!), Cozonac (this one too) and other delicios meals.
• We have good drinks too! Try Palinca (alcohol) or Visinata, Afinata, Ciresata and other alcoholic drinks based on Palinca and fruits. Also we make syroup out of many plants and they taste like heaven.
• We know how to party! We have good food, good drinks next thing on the list is partying, and how can we fail at this subject when we have the golden trio for a successful party? (food, humor and drinks)
• We have music festivals: Untold, Neversea, Electric Castle are only the ones that crossed my mind just now.

• We have world-known and love artists. Inna and Alexandra Stan for example. Winter soldier? Yup, Sebastian Stan is born in Constanta, seaside town.
• We have beautiful women, add Madalina Ghenea to those two above.
• We are smart!I mean romanians invented the pen you use to write your next destination on your journal, use it to write Romania. Also, the jet plane you use to travel, yup, still us romanians, so you could use it to visit us, we discovered insulin too and many other things I’ll let you find out by yourself. No, I am not lazy! I just think that you’ll find out more things than I could ever fit in this article if you research on your own.

• We survive! We are not a big country, we are not as developed as SUA, or Grand Britain, or Germany, we are not as visible as other countries, people don’t talk their best about us. We try, everytime we try our best, we survived wars, pandemics, and politics, and religion, and climate-change, history, economy and everything that challenged us. No matter how hard we were hit, we survived and we still find the power to make a joke about it!

Travelling to Romania is not another thing you do, is not another trip you plan. Travelling to Romania is full experience. Not only fun, not only history, not only landscapes, not only a single thing.

Even if you desire to do just one thing, it’s not possible! It’s in our blood to be good, to show people your precious beauties, to share stories, to make people laugh.

Travel to Romania and you’ll get a full package, it’s like an all inclusive, but you only have to pay for food, sleeping and getting around, the rest it’s on us. It’s on us your well being, it’s on us things you’ll learn, laughs you’ll laugh, joy you’ll have, amazing things that you’ll see, tastes that you’ll enjoy.

Like every other country, we have our problems, we have bad-intentioned people, we have issues, but that makes us stronger and more beautiful.

Romania it’s not an ordinary country, it’s not another stamp on your passport, Romania is that one destination that can change your life. Just try it!
